As a couple who likely has never been professionally photographed before, the engagement session is a really great way to help you feel more comfortable in-front of the camera. On the day of your wedding you will feel more relaxed and enjoy your day without being worried about the pictures. Besides being more comfortable in-front of the camera it’s is a great time to teach you how to pay attention to your normal poster and behavior because on your wedding day a lot of the pictures will be candid without you noticing.
During the engagement session we are having fun, taking pictures, writing notes and helping them get ready for the big day. Establishing a relationship is very important for me and I love being involved and helping along the way. The engagement session aslo helps me and my wedding couples feel comfortable in-front of each-other and in turn I get much better pictures. I can promise you once you see your engagement pictures you will be excited about them and you will have more confidence in yourselves and me.
The engagement session is also a great opportunity for you and your fiancé to have a really nice day together, all dressed up and maybe in a place that means something to both of you (This could be a place you got engaged or a first date, it could be at a place you both like to spend time at, or something you like to do together such as a shared interest) ;-) During the engagement session we are also going to catch up with your wedding plans and start working on the wedding time-line and other important information.
I also recommend having your hair and make-up test done by the same person who’s going to do it on your wedding day so you will get an idea how your hair and make look in the pictures and you can let your hair and make-up professionals know if there is anything you would like to change.
